Wedding films

Your story deserves
its own film.

On your wedding night the lights go down and the film begins. The stars are you. Not a recording of the day, an original film written about how you got here.

Cinema as a Love Language · Corde & Daniel · commissioned · written and directed by Arturo Alanis Garza

What it is

One couple. Every film you can imagine.

We sit down with you to hear your story, then write a script and bring it to the screen with your faces, your clothes, your places and even your ring, recreated in detail. You can escape in a spaceship, cross an enchanted forest, fight through an anime, or return to the beach where it all began. There are no cameras and no shoot day.

A still from Cinema as a Love Language — the proposal on the beach at Manzanillo
None of this was filmed. Every frame belongs to one original film, directed shot by shot.

How it works

Six steps, and you approve every one.

The interview

You tell us your story. How you met, the first date, the proposal, the jokes only the two of you understand, the films you love. We listen for what makes it yours.

The script

We write your film and approve it together before anything is made. Nothing gets produced that you have not read first.

Your characters

We recreate your faces, your clothes, your places and even your ring from real photographs.

Production

We direct every scene shot by shot, the way it works on a film set: lens, light, blocking, performance.

Post-production

Original music composed for the film, sound design, colour, and a 4K master for the big screen.

The premiere

The lights go down at your wedding. That is the part nobody forgets.

Questions Read the answers
What is a wedding short film?

It is an original film written about one couple and premiered at their wedding, usually just before or during the reception. It is not a recording of the day. There is no camera crew and no shoot: the film is built from your story, your photographs and a script you approve, then directed scene by scene like any other film. Most couples screen it once the lights go down, with everyone they love in the room.

How is this different from a wedding videographer?

A videographer documents what happens on the day. This is the opposite: a film written before the day, about how you got there. The two work well together and most couples book both. Ours is the piece that plays on the screen at the reception, not the one that captures the ceremony.

Do we need to film anything?

No. We work from an interview with you and from photographs of your faces, your clothes, the places that matter and meaningful objects, down to the ring. Nothing is shot. If a family member is commissioning the film as a surprise, we can interview them instead.

What kind of story can it be?

Whatever suits the two of you. Past couples have crossed an enchanted forest, escaped in a spaceship, fought through an anime, and returned to the beach where the proposal happened. The script decides the worlds, and we approve it together before anything is made.

How long is the film?

Short enough to hold a room. Most sit between two and five minutes, with a 15-second teaser you can share beforehand. The length sets the format, and the script we agree on defines the characters, scenes and worlds.

How far ahead should we book?

We take a limited number of films each month and recommend getting in touch at least eight weeks before the wedding. The schedule starts once we have the interview and your materials.

What do we get at the end?

A 4K master made for a big screen, plus a short teaser for social. Original music is composed for the film, with full sound design and a proper colour pass. If the venue has a screen and a projector we deliver a screening-ready file to their team.

Tell us how you met.

Send us the date and a little of the story. We will tell you what we would make of it, and what it would take. We book a limited number of films each month.
